Position:  Production Openings

Position:  3rd Shift Machinist

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust and operate a variety of machine tools such as Lathes, Milling Machine, Radial Drill, Surface Grinder, Tape Drill, Gun Drill, Saws, etc. to perform progressive machining operations to close tolerances and specifications.
  • Review production requirements and plan operational sequences.
  • Select tooling, set speeds and feeds, set and adjust attachments, tool and work supports, etc.
  • Position, align and secure work dimensional specifications.
  • Operate controls and periodically check part to maintain tolerances and specifications.
  • Adjust machine and tooling as necessary.
  • May grind standard or specialized tooling.
  • Work from drawings, specifications, work orders, sketches or job constructions.
  • Use a variety of precision measuring devices such as micrometer, caliper, surface gauges, scales, indicators, etc.
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • Requires three years’ experience or equivalent schooling.
  • Experience must include machining technique, shop math, tooling applications and set up procedures.
  • Must have ability to read blueprints and drawings

3rd Shift Test Inspector

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of duties necessary to assemble and wire electrical panel and controls to a press.
  • Fabricate and install wiring harness and other electrical components as necessary.
  • Use test devices, meters, scales and hand tools.
  • Set up and test machinery to customers spec.
  • Selected person must own or be willing to purchase required small hand tools.
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • Candidate must have the ability to read electrical schematics, blue prints and drawings.
  • Good mechanical skills, basic electrical skills and basic hydraulic knowledge required.
  • Candidate also needs to have experience at trouble-shooting electrical circuits and hydraulic circuits. PLC programming would be a plus.
  • Applicant must be able to operate a variety of hand operated power tools.

Position: Buyer

Job Description:

To procure tooling and equipment, raw materials, product, purchased parts, and vendor services at the lowest possible cost consistent with accepted standards of quality and service within established time frames to support shop production.

 Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include purchasing items, material, or services of a technical and specialized nature. The items purchased are of a generally common type, are usually made, altered, or customized to meet the user’s specific needs and specifications.
  • Reduce inventory cost and improve turns
  • Track supplier on time delivery performance and develop and implement countermeasures as needed.
  • Support all supplier quality initiatives.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier bids and maintain supplier quote files.
  • Resolve specification issues between suppliers and engineering.
  • Contribute to defective/returned material resolution and obtain supplier credit accordingly.
  • Must have the skills to analyze quotes and negotiate pricing with a large number of manufacturers and wholesalers.
  • Must organize paperwork and be able to work with other departments to maintain proper flow of materials.
  • Excellent organization, computer, and communication skills are a must.

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Operations or Business Administration and/or 2+ years’ experience is preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience in a low volume, high mix environment is preferred. Also business and/or supply chain background.
  • This person should take part in all Societies that promote continuing education and professionalism in her/his field.
  • This person should enter into a program to become certified in purchasing management (NAPM - National Association Purchasing Management).
  • Must possess a high degree of maturity and integrity in conducting business affairs.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Position: Part-Time Custodian

We are looking for a responsible custodian to maintain and protect our facilities. The appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises.The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.
